The book is in VG condition with some whitening of the edges. There is a small 1/16" scuff on the upper right of the front cover. The endpapers are a yellow-orange color. No printing information is given on the title page other than the 1979 copyright.

What is unique about this book is that it is the editing/proof copy used by David C. Sutherland III. One of the first books off of the printing press prior to a printing plate breaking and being accidentally replaced with a printing plate contaning pages from the Monster Manual. All other copies with the error were destroyed but a few copies finished before the error survived. This is one of those copies. The interior of the book is filled with a number of editorial marks and points of clarification. David has also signed his name inside on the front endpaper. The absolutely gorgeous cover painting and many of the interior illustrations are by David C. Sutherland III.
