The book is in NM- condition with slight whitening of some edges. The cover has some from-the-printer bubbling common to these prints. The endpapers are white and the title page gives no other printing date, just the copyright date of 1978. That makes this a TRUE 1st printing.

Many of the illustrations are by David C. Sutherland III. David got this book from the first batch to come from the printers. He has signed the interior front endpaper and penned a small note about his contributions to the book on the title page. The book was originally sent to David's parents in 1978.
