TSR 1984 Unreleased Master Historical Line
Very rare pewter master of a figure from an unreleased TSR historical figure line
This is an Arab with a funky chain-mail turtleneck pulled up to his onion shaped helm. The figure is in great shape with no damage.
This miniature is a pewter master for making new molds. After a miniature is sculpted out of green epoxy a mold is made and then the first masters are made. The masters are the figures used to make a new mold if the original mold wears out. The pewter is harder than lead and holds the detail of the original mold much better than lead. Less than 10 of these were ever made!
David is the sculptor for this beautiful miniature. He sculpted them for a potential TSR historical miniature line but the figures were never produced. They were sculpted at TSR, cast in house, and are very rare. The figures were never released to the public. They are marked TSR 1984 on the bottom.
