Character Sheets for Arrarat Rogues Gallery +
2 Character Sheets for Tim Jiardini's original character Arrarat published in the Rogues Gallery
The sheets are in GOOD condition. Tim originally had 3 sets of these but now only has this last one!
These are character sheets for Arrarat circa 1977 while he was being used as a test play for the original Ranger character class and later, circa 1981, after Arrarat gave up the strictures of the Ranger class, becoming a fallen Ranger or fighter with a d8 hit die. Tim played in various D&D games run by Gary Gygax, Rob Kuntz, and Ernie Gygax. During a game with Ernie Gygax, Tim rolled up a new character and Ernie asked that he make him a member of the Ranger class in order to test play it for the upcoming AD&D Player's Handbook. Tim, being whimsical in his play, found it hard to keep Arrarat on the straight and narrow of the Ranger class and after several levels of being a Ranger, gave it up. Thereafter, Arrarat become the first fallen Ranger! Years later with the publication of the AD&D Rogues Gallery, several examples of unique character development were sought for an example NPC section. Famous names such as Mordenkainen, Bigby, Tenser, Serten, Robilar, and other lesser known names such as Talbot, Phoebus, Luther, Valerius, Lassivren, and others, became part of the mythic landscape of AD&D. Arrarat was the perfect choice and he too joined AD&D legend!
Also, Tim has provided a three page history and background sheet for Arrarat that he typed up from his original notes and memories of playing the character in Ernie Gygax's campaign. The story tells of Arrarat's adventures in Ernie's campaign and the enmity of the Axis of Fire. He also includes a list of Arrarat's other magical possessions, not found on his character sheet.
