G3 Hall of the Fire Giant King Playtest Notes
This note sheet is for Ernie's infamous character "Erac's Cousin", a later Greyhawk character, from 1975 to 1976, who continued to adventure in the combined, expanded version of Castle Greyhawk with Gary Gygax and Rob Kuntz as his Dungeon Masters! "Erac's Cousin" appears in the Rogues Gallery.
Written out on his infamous E.V.I.L. letterhead, these are the notes Ernie took while *solo* adventuring through G3 Hall of the Fire Giant King in early 1978! The notes mention treasures accumulated, magic items, various odds and ends, the complete spell selection that Erac's Cousin had memorized as a 14th level magic-user (with the spells used crossed out!), including two of his famous cone of cold spells, a spell created by Ernie for Erac's Cousin, it also makes note of a certain dwarf with +2 armor, +2 shield, and +3 warhammer who was "rescued" by Erac's Cousin! That's right the dastardly dwarf, Obmi! The sheet reads like a tour of G3 Hall of the Fire Giant King, with it one can retrace Erac's adventure within the hall.
This sheet is a remarkable artifact of one of the most popular modules of all time. The very first playtest with Ernie Gygax as a player and Gary Gygax as the DM!
This sheet is a fantastic trove of Greyhawk lore and the only surviving note from the first playtest of the classic 1978 module G3 Hall of the Fire Giant King! A true crown jewel for your collection!
