This item is Gary Gygax’s personal play copy of K. R. Burgoine’s Shadow Circle Adventurer Castle Deck Limited Edition. From his own website, “Adventurer is a quick and easy card game for 1-4 players who each play a hero battling their way through a dark castle full of traps, treasures and monsters to find the vampire lord, Count Lodrac.”

This game was given to Gary by K. R. Burgoine and is his personal play copy. Gary was a playtester for this game and he and K. R. were friends and collaborators on a Gord the Rogue short story.

Not only is this set Gary’s personal play copy it comes with several bonus cards including: Golden Portal, Crown of the Immortals, 3 Guest Designer cards by Gary Gygax, Jim Ward, and Chris Clark, and two prototype hero cards drawn up by Tom Wham on some clipped envelopes! The set also comes with an extra Koplow Double Dice d6/d6.
