How do I find out about future Auctions?

Several people have asked me something to the effect of, "How do I find out about future auctions?" Or if there will be a schedule of Auctions, or similar questions.

The direct answer to the first question is Yes. You may use any of the three options listed below, depending on your particular preferences.

  • You may ask to be added to the Auction Notification Mailing List using the 'eMail Notifications' link in the right column under 'My Services'.
  • Alternatively, you may Subscribe to the Site RSS (and ATOM) Syndication to receive Site News and Daily Discoveries feeds. Also find that link in the right column under 'My Services'.
  • Or, you may use the old fashioned method. Come back to this site often and see what is up and coming!

As to a Schedule of Auctions, there is a less definite answer. In general, I will be able to put up Auctions every three weeks. Holidays and other considerations may introduce appropriate delays, but I will be unlikely to put up Actions more frequently.

P.S. And yes, in the event you were wondering, the size of the E. Gary Gygax collection is substantial enough that I will be running auctions for this collection for a long while to come. I picked up the collection in January and February of this year. The collection takes up 104 banker's file boxes plus various loose and over-sized items, weighs one and a quarter tons (good thing I have have a strong back!), and consists of 14,000 individual items. I began cataloging and organizing the collection in January and completed organization and cataloging on November 15th of this year.

My initial organization of the materials was product and non-product. Product is simply items that Gary received, for various reasons or purposes, but never actually played. There are approximately 3,000 of these. The remainder of the collection is non-product. These include product items that were played, edited, read, reviewed, etc. by Gary. It also includes thousands of letters, hundreds of manuscripts, hundreds of contracts and documents, dozens of pieces of original artwork, awards, and numerous miscellaneous items.

The items in the collection range in age from 1956-2008.

I will start posting interesting items here on my website in the Daily Discovery section (top left column).

Futures Bright,

Paul
