Creations Unlimited Collector Set Autographed
a special autographed collector's set of Rob Kuntz's Creations Unlimited product line from the mid 1980's The modules and flyers are in NEAR MINT condition as far as normal wear and the modules are still in their original shrinkwrap! All 7 items in this collection are autographed by the author and founder of Creations Unlimited, Rob Kuntz! This special Creations Unlimited Collector's Set is provided by Noble Knight Games, an online new and out-of-print games store with over 30,000 titles in stock. The proprieter of Noble Knight Games, Aaron Leeder bought these a few years back from one of Rob Kuntz's Creations Unlimited partner's. Now, in conjunction with Noble Knight Games, The Collector's Trove is able to offer this set authographed by the original author and founder of Creations Unlimited. Check out Aaron's About Me for more information. The Creations Unlimited Special Collector's Set contains: The Maze of Zayene series of four modules (Part 1, Prisoners of the Maze, Part 2, Dimensions of Flight, Part 3, Tower of Chaos, and Part 4, The Eight Kings), The Garden of the Plant Master module, and two very rare flyers advertising The Garden of the Plant Master and City of Brass, a tournament module that Rob had planned to publish but never did due to the closing of Creations Unlimited. The Maze of Zayene epic series of modules was originally written for the World of Greyhawk by Gary Gygax's co-DM Rob Kuntz! The series was set in the Great Kingdom as the party prepares to assasinate King Ivid the Mad but soon discovers the archmage Xayene is at the root of the King's madness. Soon they find themselves desperately trapped in the labyrinthine wake of Xayene's web of deceit. After leaving TSR to found Creations Unlimited, Rob Kuntz took this Greyhawk module and transferred it to his own campaign world of Kalibruhn. To protect his copyright he changed the game statistics and names, e.g., King Ivid is King Ovar, Xayene is Zayene, etc. All are minor changes that can easily be altered to transport these modules back to their proper setting. The Garden of the Plant Master is another module with ties to Greyhawk and Rob's own World of Kalibruhn. The setting is a supernatural, grotesque garden adjacent to the City of Elders (where Tharizdun was once worshipped) and is a vast and dangerous locale. The Garden and City can be accessed via Maure Castle in the World of Greyhawk, near the Abbor Alz. Originally appearing in WG5 Mordenkainen's Fantastic Adventure, Maure Castle is an adventure Rob ran for Gary Gygax back in the 70's. Now you have the once in a lifetime chance to get a complete, autographed set of the entire Creations Unlimited catalog of products, plus two rare advertisement flyers from 1987! |

RPGA To the City of Brass DragonCon 1987
Howdy Folks, an autographed Collector's Copy of the RPGA Tournament Module "To the City of Brass" by Rob Kuntz The module is in GOOD(+) condition as far as normal wear. This is a collector's copy of Rob Kuntz's original DragonCon 87 Tournament Module "To the City of Brass" autographed by the author on the title sheet. Sometime before the 10th century B.C. a series of stories were told as part of the 1001 Arabian Nights. One of those stories told the listener of a fantastic journey with an efreet to the City of Brass. In an eyblink of our own past, Dave Sutherland III, under the direction of Gary Gygax, painted a fantastic image of an efreet near a City of Brass floating above an ocean of flaming oil, while a ship of iron and brass crashes it's way through the sea of oil. That fantastic image is what inspired Rob Kuntz to create a fantasy campaign setting for the City of Brass. This tournament module, "To the City of Brass" was the first realization in print of this fantastic place he had conceived. While the module was but the journey to the City of Brass it put Rob Kuntz on a path to create the most fantastic campaign setting imaginable. Now you can have a signed collector's edition of this extremely rare tournament module. |

Necromancer Games City of Brass Maps Notes
Howdy Folks, the Necromancer Games City of Brass Maps and Notes The maps and notes are in GOOD condition generally. Some coffee stains occur on the cover sheet. Early on in 2001, Rob Kuntz was approached by Clark Peterson of Necromancer Games to produce the City of Brass and, eventually, the D20 version of the Maze of Zayene. Rob wrote up an outline for a four part series of modules and began making notes, sketching out a rough map, and created a new type of creature to play an important part in the whole. That creature was the ice drake. Apparently, the adventure series leading up to the City of Brass was supposed to start on the Elemental Plane of Ice! While only 21 pages plus a hand drawn map and two pages of statistics for the ice drakes, the outline offers a fascinating first pass toward the finished City of Brass. In the end Necromancer Games decided Rob should instead finish the Maze series first and had him switch to that effort. As it turned out, Rob never got back to the City of Brass and his partnership with Necromancer ended with only three of the four modules in print. Thus, this manuscript represents what might have been and certainly gives clues as to why City of Brass turned out the way it did. A fine collector's item that tells a great story about one of the most ambitious creative endeavors in the RPG industry. |

Pied Piper Original City of Brass Maps Notes
Howdy Folks, Pied Piper Original City of Brass Maps Notes The notes are in GOOD condition as far as normal wear. After Necromancer Games and Rob Kuntz ended their partnership, plans to turn "To the City of Brass" into a published version stumbled. However, Rob pressed forward in early 2002 and Pied Piper Publishing was ready to take on the task. To this end Rob created a website, outlines for various organizations and hierarchies, and created a series of computer generated maps for use with the City of Brass. All of this was reined in when Kenzer and Co. approached Rob to do the City of Brass and Garden of the Plantmaster later in 2002. So ended Rob's independent efforts to put together the City of Brass. The concept notes, drawings, and maps created for Pied Piper Publishing make up this lot. The notes and maps, while fairly early on in the process, show the vision for the product that would ultimately become Sir Robilar's City of Brass. The maps themselves are quite well done and beautiful in some cases. |

Robert Kuntz's Unpublished City of Brass Ms.
Howdy Folks, Robert Kuntz's Unpublished City of Brass Ms. Autographed The FINE condition. This brings us to the, seeming, last portion of the City of Brass saga. Kenzer and Co. have published the City of Brass (2003) and Rob's creative vision has finally reached closure. Not so! After submitting some 39,000 words and 30 or so maps and drawings, Rob met with an accident. Falling in his home from a height, Rob shattered his leg. Rob survived the massive injury and recuperated for weeks, heavily medicated for the pain associated with the injury. After some time Rob was on lower doses of the pain killers and was able to return to writing on the City of Brass. After producing an additional 49,000 words of text Rob was informed that Kenzer and Co. had hired another writer to finish City of Brass while he was out. The manuscript was done and they didn't need to see the rest of Rob's work. So the version of "Sir Robilar's" City of Brass was published but never finished by Rob. Offered here in this auction is Rob's manuscript for HIS City of Brass, nearly 90,000 words of it. Not finished, Rob couldn't write another word when he got the news, but closer to HIS vision of the City of Brass. You won't get closer to Rob's version of the City of Brass anytime soon, perhaps never, the way things turned out. So here is your chance to own the closest thing to Tzunk's City of Brass. The manuscript is signed by Rob Kuntz, the author for this work. |

TSR Original Board Game Design Ragnarok 1978
Howdy Folks, an Original Board Game Design Ragnarok The board/map is in pretty beat-up condition with a few stains. This is the Raganarok board game designed for TSR by Theron and Robert Kuntz. The map is a huge piece of TSR Hobbies poster-sized hex map from 1978. Amazing, full color map, hand drawn by Rob and his brother. The map gorgeously depicts Vanaheim, Muspellheim, Gladsheim, Trollheim, Asgard, the Bifrost Bridge and all of the classic elements of the end battle of the gods! In their own words on the map, Rob and Theron give us this: "THE BATTLE GAME OF THE GODS!!! CAN YOU AS THE NORSE GODS DEFEAT THE FORCES OF EVIL AT THE LAST BATTLE OF THE UNIVERSE??" Sounds pretty awesome! Sadly only the board design survives. The game was intended to be a larger boxed set but as TSR was moving away from that sort of thing by 1978 the game was never further developed. Still this is a on e of kind item from the glory days at TSR and just darn cool to look at too! |

"The DM Shuffle" Humorous Song for Erik Shook
Howdy Folks, an original handwritten song The paper is in POOR (+) condition as far as normal wear. Damage includes tattering and yellowing to the edges of the paper. One day in the 80's, Rob was playing D&D with Erik Shook (a cartographer, editor, and designer for TSR; did the maps to WG5 and EX2). While Rob was trying to get on with finding a local alchemist, Erik, the DM at the time, lavishly described every little detail and ambience along the way. Rob pressed the matter to get Erik to move on but Erik had a penchant for flowing description. Thus, it was then that Rob wrote up this little ditty, entitled the DM shuffle. Apparently Erik was not amused as a part of the song mentions that the, "rulebooks have flown". A great little piece of humor, a bygone element of the D&D game of today, that involves two TSR alumni. |

AD&D Gygax "Tolkien in D&D" Racial Min/Max!
Howdy Folks, a letter from 1978 addressed to Gary Gygax The letter is in POOR (+) condition as far as normal wear. The letter is quite tattered and has water spots on the bottom edge. Wow! This is a letter from an unknown D&D fan to Gary Gygax in 1978. Gary read the letter with great interest and wrote several comments on the letter. Gary was going to respond to this in the pages of The Dragon but due to a shortage of time he photocopied the letter and turned it over to Rob Kuntz. Rob in turn went over the letter and marked some relevant passages with brown marker. Inspired by the letter, Rob then wrote "Tolkien in Dungeons & Dragons" for his third column of From the Sorcerer's Scroll in The Dragon Issue 13, April 1978. Parts of the letter are quoted in the article as Rob addresses common questions about the influence of Tolkien in D&D. But wait! There is something else about this letter that is even better! The writer of the letter suggests several faults with D&D in representing Tolkien's dwarves and elves compared to humans. One of his suggestions is that *racial minimums* be applied to the ability scores of elves and dwarves! That concept of racial minimums had not been introduced to D&D as yet but *was to be* part of the AD&D Players Handbook, the final draft of which was written by Gary Gygax in May of 1978: "I am drafting the final manuscript for the players book, and a rough outline of the referees volume is on hand, so work on that can commence as soon as the former is completed." (Gary Gygax, Dragon 14, May 1978) It seems quite likely that this letter inspired the addition of racial minimums and maximums to the AD&D manuscript! Since Gary kept the original letter and only gave Rob this photocopy I would suspect Gary wanted to retain the letter for reference as he wrote the final draft to the Players Handbook. The author of the letter also suggests that, despite their limited magic ability in D&D, dwarves and elves should still be able to craft magic items of certain sorts. Yet another addition to the AD&D game found in the Dungeon Masters Guide which Gary was also working on at the time! Finally, the letter asks about slavery in Gary's home campaign, the World of Greyhawk, and Gary responds with several comments! This letter is a milestone in the creation of AD&D and even has some tidbits about the World of Greyhawk. What a fantastic little piece of RPG history and to think it survived over two decades! |

Wow! This is a fantastic collection of artwork from The Maze of Zayene Part 4 The Eight Kings! The artwork is from the hand of David Zenz and Bill Taylor. The cartography is by Jon Baade. All artwork and cartography pieces are pictured and described below. A ruler is included in the photos but the largest piece in the collection is the cover painting which measures 15" x 22". Only the cover painting and one illustration by Zenz are signed. The Maze of Zayene epic series of modules was originally written for the World of Greyhawk by Gary Gygax's co-DM Rob Kuntz! The series was set in the Great Kingdom as the party prepares to assassinate King Ivid the Mad but soon discovers the Archmage Xaene is at the root of the King's madness. Too late they find themselves desperately trapped in the labyrinthine wake of Xaene's web of deceit. After leaving TSR to found Creations Unlimited, Rob Kuntz took this Greyhawk module and transferred it to his own campaign world of Kalibruhn. To protect his copyright he changed the game statistics and names, e.g., King Ivid is King Ovar, Xaene is Zayene, etc. All are minor changes that can easily be altered to transport these modules back to their proper setting. Now you have the once in a lifetime chance to own the original artwork and print ready photos of the cartography from the Maze of Zayene Part 4 The Eight Kings! |

Domesday Book 13 Castle & Crusade Society '72
Howdy Folks, Domesday Book #13 for the Castle & Crusade Society 1972 The item is in GOOD condition as far as normal wear. Damage includes a 1.5" tear to upper left corner of the cover sheet of the cover sheet and the next sheet. Wow! You won't find a rarer item than this! This is the final issue of the fanzine for the Castle and Crusade society founded for the purpose of supporting Medieval wargaming in the upper Midwest. Membership in this Society was as few as 12 members and never greater than 80. A rare item indeed! It was with this group that Jeff Perren and Gary Gygax introduced Chainmail rules for Medieval miniatures (the rules in part were introduced in Domesday Book #6). A portion of which is reprinted in this issue of the Domesday Book. Members included Rob Kuntz, Dave Arneson, Gary Gygax (the Founder of the Castle and Crusade Society and the Domesday Book), the very creators of the D&D game! This issue from 1972, is the last issue. The Book was never mailed but was folded in half, stapled, and stamped with a "C & C Society" return address in red ink. The issue has the following contents: list of current officials of the Great Kingdom (including the King and Chief Scrivener, King Robert Kuntz I, and Steward and Pursuivant of Arms, Dave Arneson!), The Storming of Minas Ithil by Walter Williams (with battle map), Facts About Blackmoor by Dave Arneson (with a map of Blackmoor and vicinity!), Feudal Kingship by Terry Kuntz, Missives (letters from members with responses by King Robert Kuntz I), Notice to the Membership by King Robert Kuntz I, Precedence by Title or Office by Gary Gygax, Knight's Jousting Tourney by Gary Gygax (reprinted from Domesday Book #6), and a Panzerfaust Magazine advertisement. This is an amazing artifact from the time of the primordial shift from Chainmail and Medieval wargaming to Dungeons and Dragons. A crown jewel for any collection! |

D&D '72 Pre-Greyhawk Adventure Map by RJK EGG
Howdy Folks, a D&D '72 Pre-Greyhawk Adventure Map by RJK EGG The map is in amazing GOOD (+) condition as far as normal wear. There are a few spots, including several dark ones This is the 1972 map created after an adventure run by Gary before the Greyhawk Campaign and before Dungeons and Dragons! The idea behind the post-adventure map was to create fiction based on the action from previously played games. Rob sat down and drew out the map for the adventure after it had been played! The adventure the map is based on was run by Gary just two weeks after he, Ernie, and Rob went up to see Dave Arneson to play in Castle Blackmoor using modified Chainmail rules. Thus this map is a relic of the creation of D&D! Quite incredible. The map depicts outdoor travel from the Forest of Dun, through mountains and hills, to the Unnamable Tower! Could those have become the Gnarley Forest and Greyhawk Castle later on? That such a relic of the creation of the D&D game could survive all of this time! Thirty-three years, in fact! Certainly one of the oldest relics of the Dungeons and Dragons game. This unique item is a crown jewel for any collection! |

D&D Greyhawk 1972 Forces of the Great Kingdom
Howdy Folks, Rob Kuntz's Forces of the Great Kingdom roster from 1972 The paper is in POOR (+) condition with a few small tears along the edges, water spots, and yellowing. It's 33 years old for crying out loud! The Castle and Crusade Society formed as a Medieval miniature warfare enthusiast club started in the late 60's by Gary Gygax and eventually taken over by Robert J. Kuntz. The Society played out imaginary scenarios on the sand table with miniatures, reenacting Medieval battles both historical and fictional. The membership organized themselves, tongue in cheek, as an imaginary pseudo-Medieval territory based loosely on the real world geography of the upper Midwest (Minnesota and Wisconsin) where the members lived. Thus the Great Kingdom was born with the country of Blackmoor to the North-Northwest. Eventually, battles were carried out using Jeff Perren's 12 page set of rules for Medieval warfare. These rules were later, greatly expanded upon by Gary Gygax and in 1971 Chainmail was published by Guidon Games but with a Fantasy Supplement. The latter inspired Dave Arneson, a Castle and Crusade Society member from Blackmoor (Twin Cities, Minnesota), to run the first ever dungeonering game into the ruins of Castle Blackmoor. Using a modified version of the Chainmail man-to-man rules to run these sessions, he invited Gary Gygax to come try out a scenario. Once Gary got a taste of the game he devised a new version of the Chainmail game specifically for such man-to-man "adventuring" scenarios. This game was what would become Dungeons and Dragons. After a few test adventures Gygax then created his World of Greyhawk campaign based on the original pseudo-Medieval territories of the Castle and Crusade Society. Right around this time Gary creates an 8.5" x 11" map depicting The Great Kingdom to the East, the Palitinate of Walworth East of that, the City of Greyhawk to the West and South of center, Blackmoor to the North Northwest, and the Wild Coast and Gnarley Forest to the West Southwest. It is at this juncture in 1972 that Rob Kuntz draws up the document for auction in this lot. The document lists the hierarchy of the Great Kingdom on the obverse, listing all of the leaders and sub-leaders of the Great Kingdom and the territories over which they hold sway or influence. The list is based again on the tongue and cheek list of Castle and Crusade Society membership. Thus we have, "His Majesty - Robert I", Duke Pendal of the Outer Marches, Justicar Rustel, Sherrif Haxel, Walworth, etc., etc. Each name occurs after a number or foreign territory. The number corresponds to the territory indicated on the 8.5" x 11" map created by Gary Gygax, what would become the World of Greyhawk campaign. Blackmoor is listed as it's own country with Arneson listed as leader, and Robilar is listed as the Major Domo of Blackmoor Castle! The reverse of the sheet lists the units of the Great Kingdom, type, number, and organization. I don't think I need to say how significant this little piece of paper is! The very origin of the Great Kingdom, the leaders all named, the genesis of the Greyhawk Campaign, heck D&D itself! All on one little tiny 8.5" x 6" piece of 33 year old notebook paper. A crown jewel for even the most fantastic of collections! |

D&D GenCon VIII 1975 Tournament Sunken City
Howdy Folks, the D&D GenCon VIII 1975 Tournament Sunken City The papers are in POOR (+) condition with a few small tears along the edges, water spots, and yellowing. This is the GenCon VIII 1975 Dungeons and Dragons Tournament "Sunken City" by Rob Kuntz. One of the very first Dungeons and Dragons tournaments *ever*! It is listed in the 1978 GenCon VIII Program as "Dungeons & Dragons for Prizes -- Robert Kuntz" Rob also happened to be the Chairman for this GenCon and was very busy to say the least. As a result, he winged "Sunken City" using the color coded map he drew and the elevation key he created. There are 23 encounter areas numbered on the map which shows the layout of the Sunken City. The second sheet is a key for the color coded map showing whether a structure is above or below the water line and the location of treasure above or below the waterline. Undoubtedly the oldest surviving tournament module in existence! At 30 years old it is as old as the Dungeons and Dragons game itself! Created by one of the formative forces of the Dungeon and Dragons game too! A crown jewel for even the most fantastic of collections! |

Inside is nice and clean other than annotations in blue pen by co-author Rob Kuntz. This is a 12th printing from November of 1979. Rob has gone through this and has personally annotated 40 of the 68 pages. The annotation designates the portion of the work that he contributed, much of which would be incorporated into the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons game! Myths of the Northernlands Guerber 1895 1st Print! (1976 D&D Gods, Demigods, & Heroes Sourcebook/Art)
Howdy Folks, an incredibly RARE 1st printing of Myths of the Northernlands Guerber 1895 (D&D Gods, Demigods, and Heroes Sourcebook/Art) The book is in POOR (-) condition as far as normal wear. Cover is red cloth, red leather spine, gold embossed lettering, the copyright page states "Copyright, 1895, by American Book Company". Front and back cover-leather split and tattered but cloth still strongly holds both front and back boards to spine/text block. Cover has heavy fraying of cloth and rounding at corners. Some water spotting evident. The top and bottom ends of the leather spine backing are tattered, the bottom 3/4" leather is missing. The gold lettering is almost wholly intact, only the upper portion of the left serif of the "M" in "MYTHS", is rubbed off. A minuscule spot of white paint or glue can be seen on the spine near the middle. Front and back endpaper and flyleaf are browned with age tattered at the edges and water spotted/foxed at one corner. Endpapers still firmly affixed to boards. The front piece plate "ODIN." loose, tattered at edges, missing lower right corner (picture not impacted), 1" tear to the right edge, into plate, pinhole and tack mark at top, and water spot/foxing to upper right corner. Title page to 318 solidly bound to text block, no loose pages. Page 319/Blank and the last Blank/Blank page are loose, tattered, foxing/water spots at top, insect damage at bottom of page 319/Blank only, missing bits of edges. The title page of the book has the library stamp of "STATE NORMAL SCHOOL Stevens Point Wisconsin" and a card holder was clearly glued onto the back endpaper but partly removed, a portion remains. Front endpaper has last owner's name "Robert Kuntz 1976". Front flyleaf has the picture of a kitten and "Meow" in pencil (erased). Back flyleaf has "picked up" a bit of the glue/paper residue from the partly removed library card holder. Interior pages are clean and crisp, with slight rounding of the corners. About two dozen light pencil marks or notes occur within and a single card catalog number neatly penned on the dedication page. Robert J. Kuntz acquired this for his collection after a long search. This is an amazing book, an extremely rare 1st print and 100% complete, with no missing pages! Pretty good for a book that's *eleven decades* old! Rob acquired this volume for research on the Norse gods and heroes detailed in Dungeons and Dragons Supplement IV: Gods, Demigods, & Heroes by Robert J. Kuntz and James M. Ward (1976). Indeed, the frontspiece, "ODIN." was carefully removed by Robert for use as the endpiece plate in the Gods, Demigods, & Heroes book! |

Empire Petal Throne City of Nga'la Map 1975
Howdy Folks, Rob Kuntz's Empire Petal Throne City of Nga'la Maps from 1975 The maps are in GOOD condition as far as normal wear. Some of the upper right corners are torn away from having been staple together at one time. In addition to running D&D games in the World of Greyhawk and World of Kalibruhn, Rob Kuntz also DM'd a number of Empire of the Petal Throne adventures. In fact, one of Rob's first assignments was the editing of the EPT boxed set in 1975. These particular maps are part of an adventure Rob ran in 1975, just after the release of The Empire of the Petal Throne by TSR and M.A.R. Barker. The first map shows the outdoor environs around the City of Nga'la where H'Rihayal Waits& The other map is a detailed of a subterranean complex beneath the city center. The first is done on Games Workshop hex paper and the latter is done on small grid graph paper. A nice artifact from the year Empire of the Petal Throne was released and from the editor of the setting! |

Empire Petal Throne Temple Map 1976
Howdy Folks, Rob Kuntz's Empire Petal Throne Temple Maps from 1976 The maps are in GOOD condition as far as normal wear. There is a large area of water blurring of the grid on the graph paper but not the map. Barker. The first map shows the upper level of the Temple. The other map shows the 2nd level of the temple complex. Rob has extensively keyed the map, locating monsters (including the evil priests of the place), treasure, traps, and significant areas (like the bone heap of slave workers with picks and shovels). Other interesting points are a detailed secret treasure room, wherein lies the dreaded "Tome of Black Mold", a water trap where a horrid tletlakha awaits, the hall of statues, or the mirrored doors to the main temple! A nice artifact from the year after Empire of the Petal Throne was released and from the editor of the setting! |

WoG Barbarous Coast (Wild Coast) Ad Proofs
Howdy Folks, Pied Piper Publishing Ad Proofs for Rob Kuntz's Barbarous Coast (Wild Coast) Setting The ads are in POOR to GOOD condition as far as normal wear. This is a set of Advertisements Rob Kuntz made up for his Barbarous Coast setting that was planned for publication by Pied Piper Publishing. In the late 70's and early 80's Rob was preparing for some major plans to expand, define, augment, and add to the World of Greyhawk setting. In the process Rob was tasked with organizing the various notes on places, people, and things from the original Greyhawk Campaign. One of the areas was the City of Greyhawk and the surrounding environs, especially the Wild Coast, where a number of Greyhawk luminaries hailed from, adventured in, and set up keeps. Such folks as Mordenkainen, Tenser, Bombadil, Ayelarach, The Monk with No Name, Bigby, Gronan the Barbarian, Robilar, Erac, and many others so central to Greyahawk lore. Alas, his efforts went for naught in those heady days, for the setting was soon to slip from the grasp of it's creators& In the year 2000 Rob decided to take all of his design materials for detailing the Wild Coast and set about adapting it to his World of Kalibruhn. His first step was to create a series of three maps for the region he had in mind, The Barbarous Coast, very similar geographically to the Wild Coast. The three maps (for auction in this lot) included a large scale overview of the coast, a detailed regional map, and finally a detailed town of Jepton. All are done in color and are hand drawn by Rob. These are the ad proofs for the proposed setting to be published by Pied Piper in 2000. Unfortunately, the project never came to pass and was pushed aside for other projects with other companies. A nice set of ad proofs for a "What if?" project and a nice addition to any collection! |

Thus we have Lord Robilar's ruined keep switched to Lord Rhomar's Ruins, the towns of Narlewood, Farx, and Jepton. To the West are the Wild Wood and Bramblewood and Mistwood, to the West are Dwarven folk, etc. The regional gives us even more insight into to what the Wild Coast may have become. Finally, the town of Jepton gives us an idea of what a town like Safeton may have become under the hand of the creators of the Wild Coast and the World of Greyhawk. Rob Kuntz's Character Sheet Quij's Cousin
Howdy Folks, Rob Kuntz's Character Sheet for Quij's Cousin The sheet is in GOOD (-) condition as far as normal wear. Rob generated this character for use in a Lejendary Adventures game being run by Gary Gygax at Milwaukee Gamefest in 2004. We are all familiar with the heroic, if not hapless, Quij! Lord Robilar's faithful sidekick from the "Orc Level" of castle Greyhawk that single-handedly killed a troll! The same orc was raised to Hero status by Gygax for this seeming impossible feat. Quij went on to serve with Robilar throughout many days of adventure. Faithfully, Quij waited in the rain outside of the Temple of Elemental Evil as Robilar sacked and looted the place. It was a long time Quij had to wait so how could Robilar be mad if the orc hero adapted to the dismal weather by cutting a hole in Robilar's magic carpet for a poncho? A true orc hero indeed! Well this is Quij's equally heroic Cousin, one who was poorly treated by his fellow party members forcing poor Quij's cousin to find all the traps and search the deadly places. This orc cousin to and orc hero is a fine addition to any Greyhawk collection! |

A heretofore unpublished Greyhawk PC from the Wild Coast of the original Greyhawk Campaign! Details the ability scores, magic items, names of followers, and statistics and equipment for his followers. Also contains secret information about pacts with such dire folks and powerful people such as (Rob Kuntz) King Rob of the Great Kingdom, (Ernie Gygax) Erac, (Terry Kuntz) Terrik, (Don Arndt) Arnd of Tdon, and (Jim Ward) Bombadil! A connected and dangerous fellow indeed. What is this pact? Ayelarach is a long standing PC run by Mark Ratner. Adventures for this fellow are many, including many delves into Greyhawk Castle but perhaps one of his most famous was his trip to Demonworld with Erac at the behest of the Demon Prince Fraz-Urb'luu! This is a once in a lifetime chance to own the character sheets for one of the most enigmatic PC's of the original Greyhawk Campaign! Never before published, and excellent jewel to have in one's treasury! |

WoG Tom Wham's 1st Greyhawk Character 1979
Howdy Folks, Tom Wham's 1st Greyhawk Character Sheet from 1979 The sheet is in GOOD (-) condition as far as normal wear. Some yellowing and water blurring of ink (no text obliterated). Wow! Another incredible character sheet from the original World of Greyhawk campaign! This is Tom Wham's 1st Greyhawk character, Nudnick, a fighter. The sheet includes his stats (17 Charisma!), equipment, and a series of notes, maps, drawings, marching order diagrams, and a cartoon of strange amoeba-like critter with lots of "glub", "sworg", and "slurp" sound effects drawn on! C'mon it's Tom Wham, creator of Snit's Revenge and Awful Green Things from Outer Space, of course he's going to draw silly pictures on his character sheets! Sadly, Nudnick's hit point total is a might bit too low and he might not be alive at the present time. Of course the next item up for auction is a pretty good indication that Nudnick didn't make it out of Greyhawk Castle! A rare chance to own an original Greyhawk campaign character sheet from one of the greats of TSR, Tom Wham. |

WoG Tom Wham's 2nd Greyhawk Character 1979
Howdy Folks, Tom Wham's 2nd Greyhawk Character Sheet from 1979 The sheet is in GOOD (-) condition as far as normal wear. Some yellowing and water blurring of ink (no text obliterated). Wow! Another incredible character sheet from the original World of Greyhawk campaign! This is Tom Wham's 2nd (Alas poor Nudnick!) Greyhawk character, Tomovar, a 3rd level fighter from November 9th, 1979. The sheet includes his stats (18 Strength!), equipment, and notes on treasures and odd items encountered during his delves into Greyhawk Castle. I'm pretty sure this dude is a lot more relaxed than poor Nudnick (see previous auction) as he lists, among other things, a pipe and a "15# bag of dope"! Oh and a haunch of meat in case he begins to feel hungry for some reason! C'mon it's Tom Wham, creator of Snit's Revenge and Awful Green Things from Outer Space, of course he's going to have silly things on his character sheets! Most remarkably it looks like Tomovar left the depths of Greyhawk Castle alive! Yay Tomovar! A rare chance to own an original Greyhawk campaign character sheet from one of the greats of TSR, Tom Wham. |

WoG Bill Corey's Greyhawk Characters 1979
Howdy Folks, Tom Wham's 2nd Greyhawk Character Sheet from 1979 The sheets are in GOOD (-) condition as far as normal wear. Some yellowing. Wow! A set of incredible character sheets from the original World of Greyhawk campaign! These are Bill Corey's 2nd and 3rd Greyhawk characters, William and Hargrin the Hardy. William (a posthumous name as the character's original name was Bill Corey) is a 3rd level fighter. The sheet includes his stats (18 Constitution!), equipment (well a space for it anyway), and notes on treasures and experience points from his delves into Greyhawk Castle. A second sheet stapled to it shows his two fighter henchmen, Fred and Harvey, both 2nd level fighters. Sadly for these fellows, they have the dreaded "X" of the DM above their names - indicating deadness. But! There is hope! For another character sheet is stapled to these! One Hargrin the Hardy, another 3rd level fighter! The sheet includes his stats (Wow!! S17 I15 D17 C17!), equipment (well a space for it anyway), and notes on treasures and experience points from his delves into Greyhawk Castle. Sadly Hargrin too has the dreaded "X" of the DM above his name - indicating deadness. A rare chance to own an original Greyhawk campaign character sheet from one of the folks who was part of the LGTSA, Castle and Crusade Society, and long time player in the original Greyhawk campaign! |

WoG Player Roster Calendar of Play 1976
Howdy Folks, a World of Greyhawk Player Roster/Calendar of Play from 1979 The paper is in GOOD (-) condition as far as normal wear. A few spots. This is an original Greyhawk Campaign roster of players and play calendar on a huge ledger sheet (14" x 17"). Rob Kuntz used this in 1976 to keep track of the various players in the original Greyhawk campaign. Terry Kuntz, Eric Shook, Dave La Force, Joe Fischer, and several others will be familiar names to most who are familiar with the lore surrounding Gary Gygax's and Rob Kuntz's original Greyhawk campaign started in 1972. The calendar also has a listing of special weather phenomena used I the Greyhawk campaign. It gives a real insight on who was actively playing, when and how often. Some names are crossed out and new names added but the old names can still be made out. Cool artifact of the 2nd ever D&D campaign, Greyhawk, from one of the original DM's, Rob Kuntz. |

WoG Wild Coast City of Greyhawk NPC Roster 1973
Howdy Folks, World of Greyhawk Wild Coast/City of Greyhawk NPC/PC Roster from 1973 The page is in GOOD (-) condition as far as normal wear. Tattering and yellowing to the top edge and a few minor tears. Another terrific piece of the original Greyhawk campaign! As Gary Gygax's co-DM for Greyhawk from 1973, onward Rob Kuntz kept a a notebook referd to as the "Red Book". The Red Book is a spiral notebook kept by Gary and Rob to keep track of various facts of the original campaign. In addition to the spiral bound pages the Red Book was stuffed with maps, loose leaf pages of notes, and miscellaneous papers of all kinds. Rob came to be the holder of this fantastic folio of Greyhawk lore and has held onto it ever since. The item for auction is a roster of PC's and NPC's from the original Greyhawk Campaign circa 1973. It is entitled "Quick List - Castle Inhabitants", refering to all of the folks with established holdings, keeps, dwellings, castles, etc. Each line lists the figure's title, alignment (interestingly L, N, or E!), level, special notes (name, or artifact they may possess), monsters (that serve the figure), and whether or not they have "above" level henchmen. All of the favorites are there: Robilar, Tenser, Ayelarach, Bombadil, Xaene, etc. There are also a number of never before named individuals such as Lord Alfoz and his 3 griffon steeds or the Patriarch of the Cathedral to the "Lady of the Woods" served by 7 ents! In total there are 17 entries, all of which have information never seen on the other side of Gary Gygax's and Rob Kuntz's DM screen. This is a terrific artifact from the Red Book of the original Greyhawk Campaign, packed with the secret lore of Greyhawk! A crown jewel for any collection. |

WoG Wild Coast City of Greyhawk NPC Notes '72
Howdy Folks, __ The __ is in __ condition as far as normal wear. The items for auction in this lot are the area details and key for the original Wild Coast and City of Greyhawk circa 1973! Lists an Earl of the Wild Coast, his level, troops and equipment, allies and friends of Ayelarach and Terrik, details on a fishing community, a friendly elf archer, retired ship captain and his lands, statistics, wealth, servants and henchman. The next page lists a 19th level Wizard and his possessions, a local Necromancer, Champion, Warlock, and their equipment and statistics. Also listed are Joe Fischer's character's magical equipment and Joe Goodfellow's charcter's possessions and outstanding ability score. The next lists the denizens and status of various City of Greyhawk PC's, NPC's, and organizations the infamous Striped Mage, and 18th level Wizard and details his contacts, servants, and troops, the "Evil Wizard", Thieves Guild, Magic-users guild, lists the religious groups, prominent Inns, and many others. The next page lists the various towers and strongholds within the city and their inhabitants (one is the Striped tower of the Striped Mage!), an Inn in the Thieves Quarter, the residence of a very famous villain, mayor, guard barracks, armory, and more. The next two pages lists all of the alchemists (each is named) of the City of Greyhawk and their wares and abilities. The next page lists the 12 sages that reside in the City of Greyhawk, along with their alignment and areas of knowledge. Also detailed are adventure hooks and secrets that only certain sages know about like the sage Yrax or Isador. Next is the list of Greyhawk officials, such as the Council Members, like the Merchant Raston with his ties to the Mayor, indeed the Mayor is named - and it's not who you think it is! There is a listing of over a dozen more NPC's establishments and dwellings on this page alone including those of the Council. The next two pages detail a secret religion in the City, linked to secret places of worship beneath the city, and more Inns, thieves and equipment and their top boss of the mafiosa group - gives his monthly "take", abilities, etc. Sadly part of the page is torn away and we can only get partial information on Terry's Hire Service with the listings of skilled hirelings for Ernie Gygax, Don Kaye, and Jim (Goodfellow?). Finally the last page offers the location and possessor of the Crown, Orb, and Scepter Sets of the Magic-user, Fighter, and Cleric (artifacts). All this crammed on to a dozen sheets of paper from the Red Book! Obviously this collection of notes from the Red Book is a major artifact of the original Greyhawk campaign - it's not just a Crown Jewel it's an *artifact*! |

City of Greyhawk 18th Level "Striped Mage"
Howdy Folks, the history of the City of Greyhawk's 18th Level "Striped Mage" The pages are in GOOD condition as far as normal wear. Yellowing and water spotting. Another terrific piece of the original Greyhawk campaign! As Gary Gygax's co-DM for Greyhawk from 1973, onward Rob Kuntz kept a notebook referred to as the "Red Book". These two small notebook pages describe and name the Striped Mage from Greyhawk. This wizard was notorious for irritating and helping players at the same time. His connections and influence are legendary amongst the players of the original campaign. His most famous was with Terry Kuntz's "Monk with No Name", who after running afoul of the 18th Level Wizard of the City of Greyhawk, painted the mage's tower with stripes in the middle of the night! When the Mage saw his tower the next morning he announced he loved it! Thereafter he enjoyed being referred to as "The Striped Mage"! Terry's monk was none too pleased, being put out for the cost of paint and effort! The pages give the secret history of the Striped Mage and his plans, missions, alliances, characteristics, and general theme. Never before published information on one of the most enigmatic NPC's in the history of Greyhawk! This piece comes from 1975 and is a listing of 17 magic items, including one sword called "+5 Sword Call Bombadil". Bombadil is, of course Jim Ward's wizard and long time player in the original Greyhawk campaign. There are other fascinating items too, such as the Crown of Ecilam and the Iron Cage of Entrapment. WoG City of Greyhawk Evil Mage's Tower! 1973
Howdy Folks, WoG City of Greyhawk Evil Mage's Tower! 1973 The map is in GOOD condition as far as normal wear. Damage includes yellowing and tattering of the edges. This is a single piece of graph paper that depicts the tower of the "13th Level Evil Mage" within the city of Greyhawk. It is a highly detailed and labeled map showing three floors the basement, and roof as well as some secret places! In the original Greyhawk campaign circa 1973, this mage was simply known as the "13th Level Evil Mage" and was always making life difficult for the PC's, even going to the extent of hiring assassins to kill the PC's in the depth's of Greyhawk Castle! Poor kids! This is a highly detail map of his abode, several secret are revealed about this NPC in the very depth of his keep. Only you will ever know! A source of great DM fun putting the player's to it! This is a terrific artifact from the original City of Greyhawk Campaign, packed with the secret lore! A crown jewel for any collection. |

Howdy Folks, World of Greyhawk "Terik's Tower" Wizards' Tower & Dungeon The map is in GOOD condition as far as normal wear. Yellowed an tattered, light but completely legible! This is Terrik's (player Terry Kuntz) tower. Terrik was a paladin in the original Greyhawk campaign. The tower was located on the Southeast shores of the Nyr Dyv. Hand drawn by Terry Kuntz the tower is well detailed and labeled, including the rooms for his two (!) resident magic-users, Cyber and Jyber. My favorite feature of this keep, other than the "Donjon" is the "El Escapo Passage"! Heh! This is a terrific artifact from the original City of Greyhawk Campaign, packed with the secret lore! WoG City of Greyhawk Sewers and Catacombs '79
Howdy Folks, a map of the City of Greyhawk Sewers and Catacombs from 1979 The map is in GOOD condition as far as normal wear. It is tattering a bit and the tape is very old and yellowed. This map (4 pages taped together, 17" X 22") comes from a time when Rob was charged with bring together a number of disparate parts of the original Greyhawk campaign for publication, especially the City of Greyhawk. This hand drawn map represents a culmination of his efforts, showing the vast, labyrinthine, sometimes cavernous, tunnels, cellars, sewers, and catacombs beneath the City proper. The map links smugglers, cultists, wizards, lords, thieves, city officials, and all manner of critters and traps to the upper world. The map is numbered and well labeled but a key does not exist. Still, a fantastic glimpse into what the original DM's of Greyhawk saw as the secret underworld of the City of Greyhawk. Oh what could have been! This is a terrific artifact from the original City of Greyhawk Campaign, packed with the secret lore! A crown jewel for any collection. |

WoG Wild Coast Mad Wizard Krazor Adventure
Howdy Folks, World of Greyhawk Wild Coast Mad Wizard Krazor Adventure from 1973 The map is in POOR (+) condition as far as normal wear. Splitting along the folds, yellowing, and water blurring (does not cause illegibility)! This is a map from a dungeon adventure on the Wild Coast. The Dungeon of the Mad Wizard Krazor was first explored by Mordenkainen (played by Gary Gygax) who found the place to be quite challenging, to the point of fleeing one dire situation! Note the nine circular rooms on the map, it was here that Mordenkainen discovered an odd cylindrical chamber with a stout door of unusual make. Upon entering the place there was a terrible rumbling and Mordenkainen was knocked to the floor! Upon recovering his senses, examining the maps of the Mad Wizard Krazor dungeons, he [Gary] realized that 9 rooms was the same as the number of planets in the solar system for the world of Greyhawk. According to deduction Mordenkainen was on his way to Saturn! Well the wizard (an player) wanted nothing to do with this and quickly teleported back to Greyhawk! This is a fantastic old school map from the very earliest days of the World of Greyhawk and an adventure that tried even the powerful Mordenkainen! The map has a few labeled areas and is numbered. While the original key is missing the map stands as a testament to the classic World of Greyhawk campaign. On the reverse of the map is a brief sketch of Castle Ramshorn and it is labeled "Ramshorn Castle Level XV". Ramshorn Castle was that of Mike Mornard (played Gronan the Barbarian in the original Greyhawk campaign). He needed a map quickly to keep up with his players and borrowed this from Rob. Some time later Mike kindly returned the map to Rob with the appended title. Rob has subsequently titled it himself. A cool piece of D&D and Greyhawk history! This is a terrific artifact from the original World of Greyhawk Campaign and map fertile with ideas too! A true jewel for any collection. |

WoG Citadel of the Fire Lord Planar Adventure
Howdy Folks, World of Greyhawk Citadel of the Fire Lord Planar 1973 Maps by Rob Kuntz The maps and notebook sheet are in GOOD condition as far as normal wear. Yellowing and tattering for this old pair of maps. These two maps represent an attempt by Rob to prepare for the higher level adventures of the regular Greyhawk characters and to satiate his players' desires to adventure in extreme places and their fascination and pursuit of anything fire related. He gave them just what they wanted. The Plane of the Fire Lord adventure. Rob hand drew these maps keyed them with letters and colored pencil. The Fountain of Fire is particularly nice feature. There are a few labels but other than that the original key is missing. The only player to ever venture into The Lord of the Fire Plane's demesne was Jim Ward's wizard Bombadil. 'Ol Bombadil turned heel right quick when he realized what the place was. So the map lay dormant for years, the key lost but then, years later in 1979-83 Rob was reworking a number of items into various Greyhawk projects and wrote up the third sheet (the final page of a larger manuscript now lost). The note pages mentions the "Fountain" (I assume the Fountain of Fire within the Plane of the Fire Lord) and discusses an elemental creature known as an Efytar. They are a sort of a fire dwelling nymph. Rob details possibly the earliest mentions of the goddess Joramy (fire, anger, volcanoes, quarrels) as having once been worshipped by effytars. It also discusses their fall from this worship at the hands of the cruel efreet and mentions their darker worship of Nerull. All very good never before published Greyhawk campaign material from one of the original Greyhawk DM's! This is a terrific artifact from the original World of Greyhawk Campaign and one of the earliest mentions of the deity Joramy! A true jewel for any collection. |

Some splitting at the folds and water blurring of marker (no obfuscation of any map details). This is a map for a planned adventure amongst the elves of the Gnarley Forest. The map, hand drawn by Rob Kuntz in colored pencil and ink, spans a huge 17" x 22" map that is a single sheet of graph paper. The map depicts an elven, walled forest sanctuary and a black ziggurat within. It is numbered and labeled but the original key is lost. One very faint label indicates a trail to a place called Green Castle (Robilar's Castle?) This is a terrific artifact from the original World of Greyhawk Campaign and one of the earliest maps drawn of the Gnarley Forest! A true jewel for any collection. |

Extensive labeling an naming of rivers, woods ("Bom Woods") for an alternate plane adventure planned for when the original Greyhawk characters went plane hopping. Rob said he and Gary Gygax would make up these maps to hand player's something pretty to look at. Then they'd spend the next week preparing the adventure to come, winging it until they were ready. This is a terrific artifact from the original World of Greyhawk Campaign and fertile with ideas! A true jewel for any collection. |

WoG Temple of The Latter Day Old Ones 1975
Howdy Folks, World of Greyhawk Temple of The Latter Day Old Ones Adventure Map by Rob Kuntz from 1975 The map is in GOOD condition as far as normal wear. Tattered and yellowed as usual, one corner torn off but no map portions missing. This is a fantastic color map drawn by Rob for adventures with Jim Ward's character Bombadil and Skip Williams' (Sage Advice in Dragon Magazine) fighter character. The two were involved with a long campaign story arc with the priests of Cthulhu and the foul Old Ones! This is just a sample of one of their temple complexes along the Wild Coast and in the City of Greyhawk environs. This particular map is placed very near the City of Greyhawk and actually has a tunnel leading to the Church of the Latter Day Old Ones secreted in the City of Greyhawk! There is also a secreted gate in an annex of this place that allows travel to Formalhaut, an otherworldy place where the Old Ones walk in plain sight! (See LOT 191 WoG Formalhaut Lovecraftian Adventure 1975) This is a terrific artifact from the original World of Greyhawk Campaign and a rare example of the presence of the Old Ones in Greyhawk! A true jewel for any collection. |

WoG Formalhaut Lovecraftian Adventure 1975
Howdy Folks, World of Greyhawk WoG Formalhaut Lovecraftian Adventure by Rob Kuntz from 1975 The ms. is in POOR condition as far as normal wear. Tattered, yellowed, stained, water blurred as usual. Completely legible. This is a fantastic adventure written by Rob for Jim Ward's character Bombadil and Skip Williams' (Sage Advice in Dragon Magazine) fighter character. The two were involved with a long campaign story arc with the priests of Cthulhu and the foul Old Ones! Having adventured in and discovered a secret gate in a temple complex of the Latter Day Old Ones near the City of Greyhawk. Bombadil (played by Jim Ward) and his fighter adventuring companion (played by Skip Williams) stumble upon a planned invasion of the World of Greyhawk by the Old Ones! The gate allows travel to Formalhaut, an otherworldy place (inside an alien star in another dimension?) where the Old Ones walk in plain sight! If only they could gain the assistance of Cosmodius, an immensely powerful otherworldy hunter of the Old Ones. There are no maps for this place but the adventure was to be a malleable sort invasion and an indescribable locale. There are set piece maps drawn throughout the manuscript showing certain dread areas of Formalhaut. There are 16 sheets of spiral notebook paper, 24 sides of which have been crammed with adventure notes, new creature descriptions, small sketch maps, new "magic" items, and description of the "people" of Formalhaut, Old Ones, NPC's (such as General Cosmodius, a level 17 Wizard with a difference!), all of Cosmodius' people and treasures, and all of the priests of the Old Ones. It is a truly amazing adventure and it's 30 years old! This is a terrific artifact from the original World of Greyhawk Campaign and a rare example of the presence of the Old Ones in Greyhawk, a long held secret! A crown jewel for any collection. |

WoG The Stalk Adventure Lair of Spider Queen
Howdy Folks, a World of Greyhawk "The Stalk" Adventure (the Lair of Spider Queen) by Rob Kuntz from 1975 The papers are in POOR and GOOD condition as far as normal wear. Yellowing, tattering, and water spots. This adventure takes place in a creepy crawly wonderland. Lots of bugs and slugs for those who hate that sort of thing& This tangled area of vines is set in Greyhawk but according to Rob's original World of Greyhawk Garden of the Plantmaster notes, the stalk gives access to the Garden of the Plantmaster (formerly called Tharizdun's Garden)! The stalk is fantastic place of talking ladybugs, a Queen Spider, and magic bean bags! Bombadil the wizard adventured herein in 1975! This is a terrific artifact from the original World of Greyhawk Campaign and an unusual locale, intended to have a connection to the Garden of the Plant Master in Greyhawk, a long held secret! A crown jewel for any collection. |

WoG Wild Coast Dark Druids Adventure 1975
Howdy Folks, a World of Greyhawk Wild Coast "Dark Druids" Adventure by Rob Kuntz from 1975 The modules and maps are in GOOD (-) condition as far as normal wear. One of my favorite stories for an adventure in the whole collection! This adventure consists of two full-color maps hand drawn and numbered by Rob. Each corresponds to a fully keyed and described level. They are all drawn in pencil and colored. Beautiful. The first map is Split Level 1 (Rob says a split level was a level that was not easily accessed) the key describes the outdoor complex of the Dark Druids including an uncontrolled sphere of annihilation, the Temple Stone, other evil visages graven into the stones, stone ring, Altar of the Constant Evil Doer, Pool of the Willows, a hapless dwarf woodsman who recites a haunting verse, A LOT of druids, whom are none too friendly, and a trove of adventure, 6 pages of material keying the upper area of the Dark Druids. The second map is Swamp Split Level 2. This sheltered cove-like area of swamp is full of water and gangways from point to point of dry land. Here the players encounter darker and darker things of the druids. They also encounter god-like beings of the Celts, deities on earth with a connection, or at least former connection, with the dark druids. Git and Nuada, Silvanus, CuChulaine, and others were revered here. Git herself interacts with adventurers! A horrible balor is entrapped in this place and it is the very resting place of the Invulnerable Coat of Arnd! An artifact of incredible power! Beware its guardian! Rob wrote this adventure as part of an ongoing campaign arc for Jim Ward and Skip Williams. It seems these Dark Druids had it out for Bombadil the wizard (Ward's Character) and while he was exploring the demesne of the Dark Druids, attacking and sacking it, the druids themselves were attacking it. Suspecting something was up, Bombadil scryed his castle with his crystal ball. The vision was not pretty, the druids were attacking the castle with all of Bombadil's henchmen and followers within. Still, Bombadil kept on with his fighter companion, delving deeper into the place of the Dark druids. Again, scrying showed the castle was about to be sacked, all of Bombadil's possessions and henchmen were about to fall. Despite being able to transport back in an instant via teleport, Bombadil seemed unconcerned. Finally, scrying revealed his castle in ruins and aflame at the hand of the Dark Druids. On he pressed, wreaking havoc, in the swamp level. Then the two chance upon the secret resting place of the Invulnerable Coat of Arnd (or so they think). Taking the glittering coat of mail they fail to prepare for a guardian. In steps Yeenoghu, Demon Lord of Gnolls, oh my! The two outmatched adventurers ran for it! Hopping on Bombadil's carpet of flying off they went into the cavernous area above the swamp. Yeenoghu summons vrock after vrock (flying vulture demons) to pursue them. Meanwhile, Bombadil decides to don the Invulnerable coat and sets his flying carpet into a slow circular "holding pattern" while he does so. His fighter companion (Skip Williams) implores him to get the heck out of there but it is too late! Swooping upon the two, Bombadil just starting to get on the Invulnerable Coat, is struck and knocked unconscious by the attacks of several vrocks. The poor fighter hardly knows what to do and the vrocks close in while he circles helplessly on the carpet of flying with the only person able to control the carpet, Bombadil, lying unconscious and dying next to him! Eventually the slow circle takes the hapless fighter near a ledge where he jumps free of the carpet, but not before taking the Coat from the body of Bombadil. What are friends for? The vrock have only temporarily lost the scent of the fighter but now have him again and chase him madly out of the level. Just when the fighter is about out the vrocks catch him with telekinesis! Up and Up and Up he goes! Desperately he tries to don the Coat (perhaps, he thinks it can save him) but a failed check indicates he has fumbled the Invulnerable Coat of Arnd. Down Down Down it goes! And then, when he is really, really high, and then the vrocks drop him. Splat! The adventure ends! Now that is old school something wicked-bad! This is a terrific artifact from the original World of Greyhawk Campaign and completed two level adventure! A crown jewel for any collection. |

Howdy Folks, World of Greyhawk Orig. Notes on the Artifacts of the Demonsenders Manuscript by Rob Kuntz The notes are in POOR condition as far as normal wear. Yellowing, severe creasing, and on the copy of the article, dark water spotting or foxing. For auction are the partial original notes for Rob's article in Wargaming #2 by FGU (1977), The 3 Artifacts of the Demon Senders. These are the notes for "The Four Stones of Xylarthen". As part of his research he came up with these notes on Xyrlarthen, Xaln, and Blyzze, specifically on their art of demon sending and the magic items they created. Later he took these notes and turned them into and article for Wargaming #2 by FGU (1977). The article, Rob's file copy of which is included in this auction, was The 3 Artifacts of the Demon Senders. While the article deals with all 3 of the Demon Senders the notes offered in this auction pertain specifically to Xylarthen and his "Four Stones". The rolls that shattered the doors of Zuggutmoy's prison? The rolls that successfully freed the 9 demigods imprisoned within Greyhawk Castle? The rolls that helped Robilar survive the first play test of Tomb of Horrors and WIN the lich's treasures? (Hold on the dice are glowing and floating around the room again!) WoG Duchy of Urnst Ruins of the Seer '78
Howdy Folks, Rob Kuntz's adventure manuscript Ruins of the Seer set in the Duchy of Urnst The manuscrpit is in GOOD condition as far as normal wear. This is a manuscript for a planned tournament module, "Ruins of Seer" set in the Duchy of Urnst. The manuscript consists of five handwritten pages giving the Legend of Seer, seven pre-genrated tournament characters, and a description of the Scepter of Seven, a magical item that figures prominently in the adventure. Maps includ the highly detailed and profusely labled cross section of the Seer's tower and dungeon complex and the four dungeon level maps, all nicely drafted in colored pencil and ink. The pregenerated characters include the following agents of the gem merchants: 8th level fighter, 5th level dwarf decked out with bejeweled armor and weapons, 7th level magic-user who has a ring of delusion in a velvet lined box with a viper in it!, 6th level magic-user with a block of adamantite and a bead that summons two werewolves to fight for him!, 6th level cleric, 7th level half-orc thief with a dagger +4 ("to use as bargaining power"), and a 5th level monk with a gem of seeing. Just reading the descriptions of the characters makes me think they have some sort of subterfuge amongst them. That magic-user with the box, ring, and viper is very Cugel-like! The premise of the module is that nothing has been heard from the Seer in three years. He had previously been collecting fabulous gems and magical jewels of eldritch design. Gem and jewel merchants from the Duchy want to settle their accounts with Seer. Having kept close track of their inventory sold to Seer, they have hired a gourp of adventurers to recover the largest of these gems. The Seer's tower is atop a great hill 16 miles away from the small town of Gelsiym and a short distance to the Gnatwood. (Rob said that the whole adventure are would be a 10 league World of Greyhawk map hex, blown up an closely detailed with roads, small woods, hills, rivers, etc., much like the zoomed in hexes found in WG5 Mordenkainen's Fantastic Adventure. The module would be a fantastic tie-in to C2 The Ghost Tower of Inverness which also starts in the Duchy of Urnst where a man known only as Seer, coincidentally, advises Duke Justinian Lorinar to gather a group of adventurers to retrieve the Soul Gem of Galap Dreidel. It is the recovery of that eldritch jewel that is the center piece of C2 The Ghost Tower of Inverness. What does the Seer want with these gems? This is a once in a lifetime chance to own an original World of Greyhawk module manuscript that was being developed by Rob Kuntz back in 1978 for TSR. The draft module manuscript will be the crown jewel of any collection! |

This is Rob's personal proof copy of the module he authored with Gary Gygax. The adventure was the first written regarding the Maure Castle environs. (This was recently re-written for the D&D 30th Anniversary Issue 112 of Dungeon Magazine!) Rob has written proofing information throughout the module, indicating errors or unclear information in red pen. One of the maps is totally upside down! And a door has been left off! There are also a few proofing note about the text within. Part of his submissions for these manuscripts was this computer printout of his map for the Great Kingdom's capitol city, Rauxes. Creations Unlimited City of Brass Painting!
Howdy Folks, Creations Unlimited City of Brass Painting by Bill Taylor from the late 80's The map is in POOR condition but is quite clear and legible. It has been torn in half and has the yellowed residue of antique tape. The key to the map is in GOOD (-) condition but is quite yellowed, a bit tattered, and has a few spots. There are pinholes in the upper corners. Wow! This is a fantastic piece of artwork from Creations Unlimited's planned version of City of Brass! The artwork is from the brush of Bill Taylor done in oils on 1/8" thick 15" x 20" illustration board. It is signed "Taylor" at the bottom right. Sometime before the 10th century B.C. a series of stories were told as part of the 1001 Arabian Nights. One of those stories told the listener of a fantastic journey with an efreet to the City of Brass. In an eye blink of our own past, Dave Sutherland III, under the direction of Gary Gygax, painted a fantastic image of an efreet near a City of Brass floating above an ocean of flaming oil, while a ship of iron and brass crashes it's way through the fiery waves. That fantastic image is what inspired Rob Kuntz to create a fantasy campaign setting for the City of Brass. His tournament module, "To the City of Brass", for DragonCon 1987, was the first realization in print of the fantastic place he had conceived. While the module was but the journey to the City of Brass, it put Rob Kuntz on a path to create the most fantastic campaign setting imaginable. In 1988 Rob aspired to publish City of Brass through his Creations Unlimited company. To this end Rob commissioned Bill Taylor to paint the cover art for the module. Working closely with Bill Rob had bill make a more traditional efreeti, multi-armed and eyed, with lion-like paws. The painting shows and efreeti and a wizard battling on the cliffs above the City of Brass. It is a striking scene with the sun burning behind the wings of the efreeti and the City of Brass Glittering in the background. Rob took the painting upon completion and had it printed into the flyers. These flyers were included in Creations Unlimited product shipments to customers. The City of Brass painting then sat at the print shop for the next *18 years* with an outstanding balance of $41 for the printing of the City of Brass flyers for Creations Unlimited. The balance was left unpaid by an associate of Rob and he never bothered to get it as it was the associate's responsibility! Luck! The auction of Rob's collection by the Collector's Trove stirred Rob to inquire about the painting, assuming they had thrown it out. Not so! The printing company actually kept it all these years. Rob promptly went over, paid the bill, and the painting is now available for auction. Don't let it slip into obscurity again! |

WoG 7 Cryptical Books of Hsan Adventure '75
Howdy Folks, the World of Greyhawk "7 Cryptical Books of Hsan" Adventure by Rob Kuntz from 1975 The map is in POOR condition but is quite clear and legible. It has been torn in half and has the yellowed residue of antique tape. The key to the map is in GOOD (-) condition but is quite yellowed, a bit tattered, and has a few spots. This is a fantastic color map and fully keyed description created by Rob for adventures with Jim Ward's character Bombadil and Skip Williams' (Sage Advice in Dragon Magazine) fighter character. The two were involved with a long campaign story arc with the priests of Cthulhu, the foul Old Ones, and the Dark Druids! This particular map is placed very near the City of Greyhawk. According to Rob this place was but one of the places where a gate could be opened to allow travel to Formalhaut, an otherworldy place where the Old Ones walk in plain sight! (See LOT 191 WoG Formalhaut Lovecraftian Adventure 1975) There are 17 map areas keyed on the second piece of paper (front and back), including the horrible creatures from Formalhaut (including an incredibly powerful Star Demon), Dark Druids, moon beasts, and more. Somewhere secreted in the place are the 7 Cryptical Books of Hsan! This is a terrific artifact from the original World of Greyhawk Campaign and a rare example of the presence of the Old Ones in Greyhawk! A crown jewel for any collection. |

WoG Draft Map Lost Caverns of Tsojconth 1976!
Howdy Folks, WoG Draft Map The Lost Caverns of Tsojconth by Gary Gygax 1976 The map is in GOOD condition as far as normal wear. Some yellowing and a minor tear to one edge. Wow! This is a reference photocopy of Gary Gygax's 1976 hand drawn The Lost Caverns of Tsojconth map, redrawn from the original Tsojconth map by Rob Kuntz. Done in about 1976 this version of the map would be altered again (slightly) before being published for the WinterCon V tournament module The Lost Caverns of Tsojconth in 1976. Thus, this map predates the map found in the 1976 tournament module. The original hand drawn map by Rob Kuntz was for an adventure Rob DM'd for Mordenkainen (Played by Gary Gygax) in 1972. Gary liked the design so much that it became the Greater Caverns for the WinterCon V tournament module The Lost Caverns of Tsojconth in 1976. WoG Greyhawk Castle Demonworld Original 1973!
Howdy Folks, and original World of Greyhawk Greyhawk Castle Demonworld Adventure Map from 1973 The map is in GOOD condition as far as normal wear. Yellowing, splitting along the folds, and some spotting. Wow! This auction is for a part of the original Greyhawk Castle maps and manuscripts. This is for an entire planar level created for Greyhawk Castle designed and drawn by Rob Kuntz, Gary Gygax's co-DM in the original World of Greyhawk dungeon Greyhawk Castle in 1973. Rumored tales and half-told stories are all we have of this fabulous adventure to Demonworld. Until now! The map is drawn in marker and colored pencil and is fully numbered with encounter areas. It is drown on a huge hex map 25.5' x 33" consisting of 9 sheets of Game Workshop hex paper taped together. Noted on the map, is the starting location where Erac's Cousin (played by Ernie Gygax) and Ayelarach (played by Mark Ratner) arrived on the plane ruled by the Prince of Deception Fraz-urb'luu! Dragged from the very depths of Greyhawk Castle! But what is the story? How did this two hapless heroes end up in such an awful place? The story of this truly fantastic adventure goes like this: A group of gamers gather at Gary Gygax's house in late 1973. Mark Ratner brings some beer, Rob Kuntz shows up with a bottle of Southern Comfort, and Gary brings out some Pimm's Cup (a British liqueur). Ernie Gygax is there too but not to have a drink. Without too much cajoling, after a few tips of the glass, the lot begins the now legendary mis-adventure of Erac's Cousin and Ayelarach. Erac's Cousin had been a troublesome character as of late, and his DM, Gary Gygax had been chafed at Erac's Cousin's current "advantage" in the game. It seems that an adventure to the Barsoomian Mars of the Greyhawk solar system had allowed Erac's Cousin to pick up the two-sword fighting style of John Carter. Gary had created this adventure for Ernie for his son really enjoyed the whole Martian series immensely. All was fine and well until a series of circumstances led to Erac's Cousin acquiring not one, but two *vorpal swords*! What game in their right mind wouldn't seek to take immediate advantage of this circumstance? Ernie did and Erac's Cousin began lopping off the heads of foes left and right, much to the chagrin of his dear 'ol dad, the Dungeon Master. So, for some time, Gary was hoping something would happen as part of the flow of the campaign, with gentle DM nudging, that would take either the character or the swords out of play. As play, and the co-DM's drinking, ensued the player's came to a part of Greyhawk Castle where the bas relief visage of Fraz-urb'ull was found. Soon the player's were convinced, after talking to the face, that they must rescue the wretch so cruelly trapped within the stone visage. After pursuing a questionable series of choices, which should have alerted the player's to the nature of the being imprisoned, they won the secret to releasing the imprisoned creature. Upon doing so, the truly massive Fraz-urb'ull appeared and the characters (an players) immediately realized their error. Desperately Erac's Cousin used a gate spell, actually managing to gate in Zeus! Alas, Erac's Cousin's unlucky die roll of 5% indicated the greater god would simply ignore the situation and return through the gate! Fraz-urb'ull then snatched up the two and took them to his home plane! As far as Gary was concerned, they were forever slaves on Fraz-urb'ull's plane. End of campaign for the characters. Protests flew from the players but Gary was pleased with the outcome. The player's had engaged in truly foolish endeavor and paid for it with their lives. So too the troublesome matter of a dual-vorpal weapon wielding character was removed from the campaign. Such is the lot of the imprudent. Gary's co-DM had another idea, after the game and hangovers ended, Rob talked to Gary about giving the player's a chance to get out of their predicament. Rob had been detailing a planar setting he called Demonworld" and he thought it would be perfect for Mark and Ernie. After some cajoling Gary agreed but was adamant that the blades not return to the campaign! So it came to be that Rob Kuntz finished his Demonworld", a place accessible through the bowels of Greyhawk Castle and the jumping off point for a horde of demons intent upon invading the World of Greyhawk through this nexus! The place is reputed to be so anti-magical that items brought to it will lose their magic powers permanently (like, for example, a pair of magic vorpal blades)! ***BONUS***Another group had to go to Demonworld" later in the Greyhawk campaign on a rescue mission to rescue the Striped Mage of Greyhawk from the clutches of Sahazruul, Fraz-urb'luu's Lieutenant. But that is a story only the winner of this auction will know! Rob will do a short write up of the adventure and give details of his Demonworld"! Over 30 years old this is a fantastic relic of the original World of Greyhawk dungeon Greyhawk Castle, DM'd by Gary Gygax and Rob Kuntz. This item would be a truly amazing addition to the finest collections in the world! Don't miss your chance to have a piece of the original Greyhawk Castle (with a write-up by Rob Kuntz too!)! |

Greyhawk Tournament Module Pit of Geburah '76
Howdy Folks, the World of Greyhawk Tournament module "Pit of Geburah" The collection of notes and typed pages is in POOR to GOOD condition. All test is legible Wow! This is an unfinished tournament module conceived by Rob Kuntz shortly after the 1976 release of Gods, Demigods, and Heroes, a book he co-authored with James Ward. After the release of Dungeons and Dragons Supplement IV: Gods, Demigods, and Heroes the folks at TSR were looking for a tournament module to support their product. Then Rob had it! How about a multidimension spanning adventure that had a greater god summoning the heroes of legend from different times and realities to rescue an artifact of tremendous importance! Thus, the Pit of Geburah (A.K.A. "Lair of the Pit Fiend") was born! Rob came up with the basic design, the main bad guy, and man is he bad, the boss of all Pit Fiends, Geburah, Eater of Worlds! Now he needed the pre-rolled tournament characters. These he took from his draft manuscript of Dungeons and Dragons Supplement IV: Gods, Demigods, and Heroes and, later, from his draft manuscript work on AD&D Deities and Demigods. The team of heroes included: Achilles, Hermod, Lemikainen, Conan, Fafhrd, Elric, and to lead them all - Math. Holy cow! How tough does this adventure have to be to include ALL of these guys!? The module is set in the World of Greyhawk, in the Draschensgrab Hills, in the Pomarj, in a mountain rising above the hills. Stoor Mountain is the name of the peak and the location for the Pit of Geburah. Gary Gygax knew of Rob's module and made a point to include in the 1979 World of Greyhawk Folio. Indeed, the text for the Drachensgrab Hills state: "Legends say these hills hide the resting place of one or more powerful creatures who may one day return to life." This was an intentional hook placed by Gygax for the Pit of Geburah! The manuscript for this tournament module was started by Rob after the release of the Dungeons and Dragons Supplement IV: Gods, Demigods, and Heroes in 1976. Projects superseded projects and the Pit of Geburah was put on the back burner. Then in 1977-80 Rob worked on it some more. Eventually, TSR's design department got a hold of it and began developing it for TSR's series of World of Greyhawk modules. Erik Shook began adding to and expanding the manuscript. Again, due to shifting priorities the module went to the back burner. The module would have been lost to obscurity had it not been for this auction and Rob finding it again. The manuscript consists of four typed pages, three maps, seven pre-generated tournament character sheets, and twenty-five pages of handwritten manuscript. All come in Rob's original folder, labeled "Rob Kuntz "Pit of Geburah" AKA "Lair of the Pit Fiend"", with a few extra card and reference notes. The provenance of the pregenerated character sheets comes from the D&D Supplement IV manuscript and the AD&D Deities and Demigods as follows: D&D Supplement IV: Gods, Demigods, and Heroes Manuscript: Four pre-generated character sheets, Conan, Elric, Hermod, and Lemikainen, are Rob Kuntz's original hand written pages from the draft manuscript of Dungeons and Dragons Supplement IV: Gods, Demigods, and Heroes! These are the original manuscript pages that Rob worked on during his time at TSR. These are Rob Kuntz's unedited, original descriptions for the two heroes and they have a few variations from the finalized Gods, Demigods, and Heroes. These four pages are a treasure in their own right! AD&D Deities and Demigods Manuscript: Two pre-generated character sheets, Achilles and Fafhrd, are typed pages from the original draft manuscript of the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Deities and Demigods book! These are the original manuscript pages that Rob worked on during his time at TSR (he worked on the Greek, Norse, and Newhon mythos). These are Rob Kuntz's unedited, original descriptions for the two heroes and they have a few variations from the finalized Deities and Demigods book. These two pages are a treasure in their own right! The manuscript details a number of encounter areas, many ideas, sketches, mock-ups, maps, new magic items, including the Sword of Belial, monsters, the statistics for Geburah, and all of the pre-generated heroes. Now is your chance to own this terrific module and parts of two manuscripts for D&D and AD&D books, don't let it slip into obscurity again! |

WoG Greyhawk Castle Bottle City Level 1973!
Howdy Folks, the original Bottle City Level for Greyhawk Castle by Rob Kuntz and Gary Gygax The map is ARTIFACT LIKE and the manuscript is RELIC LIKE. Wow! This auction is for a complete level of the original Greyhawk Castle including the level map and key to encounters. This is for an entire level created for Greyhawk Castle designed, written, and drawn by Rob Kuntz, Gary Gygax's co-DM in the original World of Greyhawk dungeon Greyhawk Castle 1973. The map is 17" x 22" graph paper (5 squares to an inch) and is drawn with pencil and colored pencil. That makes the Bottle City Level 820' X 1070'. Holy cow! That's HUGE! The key for the dungeon is hand written in pencil and pen, and consists of eight pages of loose leaf paper torn from a spiral notebook, with 8 full pages of writing on them. In all there are over 13 main area entries and 100 sub entries! Over 30 years old this is a fantastic relic of the original World of Greyhawk dungeon Greyhawk Castle, DM'd by Gary Gygax and Rob Kuntz. The following names have been entered into the rolls of this level and can be found within the keyed descriptions: Don Arndt, Dave Arneson, Bob Burman, Mike Carr, Tom Champeny, Joe Fischer, Joe Goodfellow, Ernie Gygax, Don Kaye, Terry Kuntz, Brian McVey, Dave Megarry, Mike Mornard, Debbie Nafzigger, Mark Ratner, Dave C. Sutherland, Jim Ward, and Skip Williams! Whoa! That is one incredible list of names! Dave Arneson! Don Kaye! The only names missing are those of Gary Gygax and Rob Kuntz but then they were the Dungeon Masters werent they! The very presence of Don Kaye on this document is amazing to say the least, he perishing less than two years later. This level of Greyhawk Castle has it all! There's not one but *TWO* places where character's might come face to face with the demigods or the gods of Greyhawk themselves! The nine: Celestian, Erythnul, Heironious, Hextor, Iuz, Obad-hai, Olidimara, Ralishaz, and Trithereon or The four others! Heretofore unpublished Greyhawk demi-gods, named and aligned with a description of their actions: Aza, Lolatho, Zirx, Phanon, and Ntee! This item is the greatest RPG artifact ever put on eBay. It is truly an unequaled artifact of the original Greyhawk campaign run by Gary Gygax and Rob Kuntz. The Bottle City Level of Greyhawk Castle! Undoubtedly a museum piece if ever there was one! (But I bet you'll catch the guards rattling their dice through the Bottle City Level on the night watch! Even if the DM has to read the module through 6 inch Plexiglas!) |
